MIDDLESEX COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER OPENS 2024 WITH WIN AT CC MORRIS

Freshman Sebastian Perez scored two goals and assisted on two others in his first intercollegiate game Middlesex College Men's Soccer got their 2024 season off to a fast start with a 7-0 win over County College of Morris.

Middlesex got the scoring started early when Emadudeen Mumin (Sophomore/North Brunswick, NJ) netted the first goal of the season just 3:10 into the contest off an assist from Kenneth Garcia (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ).

The Titans tightened up their defense for the next 30 minutes, but Middlesex broke through with four goals in an eight minute span between the 33rd minute and 41st minute of the first half. Andres, Rojas (Freshman/Elizabeth, NJ), Ahmed Oshash (Sophomore/Dunellen, NJ), Perez and Melvin Ramos (Freshman/Perth Amboy, NJ) were the goal scorers as the Colts took a commanding 5-0 lead into the half.

Middlesex continued to play sold defense and added two more goals in the second half to nail down the victory. Perez scored in the 72nd minute and Tiago Capela (Freshman/South River, NJ) added the final tally at the 86 minute mark off an assist from Nicolas Cciocca Sanchez (Freshman/Piscataway, NJ).

Jhan Paul Hidalgo (Sophomore/South Amboy, NJ) picked up the win in goal for the Colts.

Middlesex returns to action with their first home game of the season Wednesday when they take on RCSJ-Gloucester at Crabiel Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00PM.
