Gabriella Nieves scored 21 points for the second time in three games and Kendall Dixon continued to be a reliable scorer as Middlesex College Women's Basketball topped Wake Technical CC 67-57 in North Carolina.
The Colts got off to a fast start against Wake Tech outscoring the Eagles 30-21 in the first half. Middlesex stayed consistent offensively in the second half, scoring 37 points on their way to a 10-point win.
Nieves led Middlesex in scoring for the third straight game and she notched her first double-double of the season, pacing the Colts with 12 rebounds.
Dixon added 17 points and led Middlesex with five steals. Jaylah Boyd (Freshman/Linden, NJ) grabbed 12 rebounds for the Colts as well.
Middlesex College Women's Basketball is currently 4-4 on the season and will next be on the court on November 20 when they travel to New York to take on Bronx Community College. Tipoff is set for 6:00PM.
