MIDDLESEX FALLS TO RCSJG IN THREE SETS
Middlesex College Women's Volleyball received a balanced performance from their entire roster, but it wasn't enough as the Colts fell to Rowan South Jersey-Gloucester 3-0.
The Colts (1-1) fell by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-16.
""Despite coming up short in our first loss of the season, we were a formidable opponent for Gloucester," said Middlesex Head Coach Henry Romero. "We didn't let up at any point in the match."
Johanna Kovalewich (Freshman/Colonia, NJ) paced the Colts with seven kills, 10 digs and eight service points. Kilanny Ramos-Adrian (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) added 15 digs, eight assists and seven service points in a well-rounded effort.
"Every player contributed where they could," said Romero. "We kept each set close and even had a few leads in each set."
Other players who stood out for the Colts were libero Emi Thai (Freshman/Old Bridge, NJ) who had 27 digs and three service points and Adrianna Pellei (Freshman/Sayreville, NJ) who had five service points and six digs.
