MIDDLESEX FALLS TO HACC IN REGION XIX QUARTERFINALS
Middlesex College's fantastic 2021 Women's Volleyball season came to an at Harrisburg Area Community College as the Hawks swept the Colts in the Region XIX Tournament Quarterfinals.
Third-seeded HACC (10-4) swept Middlesex, the six seed, by scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 26-24.
The loss brought an end to a turnaround season by Middlesex that saw them rebound from a 2020 season that saw them go 1-8. The Colts had lost 15 of their past 18 matches coming into the 2021 season, but under the guidance of Head Coach Henry Romero, Middlesex finished this year with a 9-7 record and their first playoff berth in years.
The Colts relied on a balanced attack this year with all players on the roster contributing significantly. Johanna Kovalewich (Freshman/Colonia, NJ) and Kilanny Ramos-Adrian (Sophomore/Perth Amboy, NJ) led Middlesex in most statistical categories this season.
