MIDDLESEX COLLEGE WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TOPS DELAWARE COUNTY CC IN FOUR SETS

Middlesex College Women's Volleyball picked up their second victory of the season, topping Delaware County CC in four sets as part of a home tri-match.

The Colts fell to Passaic in the first match of the day before bouncing back against Delaware County. Middlesex is 2-4 on the season.

Middlesex captured two tightly contested sets (27-25 and 26-24) to go up 2-0 against the phantoms. They dropped the third set 25-12, but rebounded to close out the victory 25-22 in the fourth set.

Tina Bilak (Freshman/South River, NJ) and Renee Reid (Plainfield, NJ) paced Middlesex with six kills each while Maryann Lourenco-Rivas (South River, NJ) turned in another fine performance with 25 assists.

Arianna Salazar (Freshman/Monroe, NJ) led Middlesex with 18 digs against Delaware County CC while Leilani Gaaspard (Freshman/Edison, NJ) and Lourenco-Rivas added 15 and 14 assists, respectively.

Middlesex returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Northampton for a Region 19 evening matchup. Tipoff is set for 6:00PM.
